Republican candidate for state auditor, John Kemper, has nobly given back all campaign donations from government officials to avoid a conflict of interest if he were to be elected this November. He is also urging his opponent Adam Edelen to do the same. Wow, right?! A politician actually giving back money to donors?
Well, there's a bit of a catch. This vast sum of money that Kemper is giving back totals $1,200 while Edelen's campaign donations from government officials is $75,000. That's 62.5 times the amount than "untouchable" Kemper. I think I'd want Edelen to give his money back too.
Oops, sorry. wrong John Kemper...
