Rand Paul's About-Face on Military Cuts

I thought about posting a link to one of the state newspapers about Rand Paul's stance on cuts in military spending, but I like Barefoot and Progressive's take on it.  One of the big things that moderates found appealing in Paul was his belief that sacrifices have to be made in our defense budget.  I would agree that we shouldn't cut spending in regards to our veterans but I don't believe anyone would really want cuts that would impact veterans.   Instead, focus on the "national defense" aspect of the quote.
