So, rather than taking up a lot of posts on things that only warrant a couple of sentences, here's a little summary.
- The Medicare division of Humana is adding 200 jobs in Louisville. If you think you might want one of these jobs, then check out their Careers website.
- Kentucky's First Lady Jane Beshear is telling a group of Newport Democrats to keep up the fight. She says not to get too comfortable with a sizable lead and that anything can happen between now and then.
- Page One Kentucky has a good article about how the American Jobs Act would benefit Kentucky. Some highlights include: In Kentucky, 70,000 firms will receive a payroll tax cut under the American Jobs Act.
Of the investments for highway and transit modernization projects, the President’s plan will make immediate investments of at least $455,500,000 in Kentucky that could support a minimum of approximately 5,900 local jobs.
Kentucky could receive about $20,000,000 to revitalize and refurbish local communities, in addition to funds that would be available through a competitive application.
