Justified Trying to be More Accurate

The FX show Justified is set in Kentucky and has a lot of scenes that take place in Harlan, Lexington and even Frankfort.  But if you watch the show, then you know not to expect the scenery to resemble anything a Kentuckian would recognize.

That's because its filmed in Pennsylvania.  So, although you see places that look like they could be in Kentucky, you don't see a place that, for example, you might eat lunch at every Thursday.  It would be nice to see Marshall Raylan Givens go get a French Dip at the Nicholasville Road Rafferty's, but you don't.

Though we may have to wait for nice exterior shots of the places we call home, the producers are at least going to get the police uniforms right.  Justified has been working with the Lexington Police Department and the Kentucky State Police to make sure they portray the police garb accurately.  The funny thing is that the State Police in Harlan actually contacted the show's producers and complained about how they weren't getting the likeness of police right.

In March, FX announced that they had ordered another 13 episodes of Justified.
