News Roundup 10.26.11

  • Blue!... White!... UK's basketball team will be on display this evening at 7 ET on Fox Sports South for a scrimmage called the Blue/White game.  This is important homework for all Kentuckians.  Watch it.
  • With all the campaign finance finger pointing going on, it's easy to lose track of who is mad at who for what.  Now comedian Bob Farmer is pointing his finger at James Comer over campaign donations he received from a lobbyist.
  • Two new TV ads are out on Kentucky airwaves for two different statewide candidates.  Jack Conway's new spot talks about his efforts with the drug task force, while Republican secretary of state candidate and douchebag Bill Johnson's 15 second spot touts his proposals about voters presenting ID at the polls.  The ads are getting uglier as we get closer to November 8th.  If you'd like to watch some of the more recent propaganda, check out cn2.
  • A couple of days after Lexingtonian and Boardwalk Empire actor talked to Terry Gross on NPR's Fresh Air, the C-J reports that we have yet another little Bobby DeNiro on our hands. Northern Kentucky's Josh Dallas is playing Prince Charming in ABC's new drama Once Upon a Time.
  • I don't like the Avett Brothers.
