BG Terror Suspect Can Be Tried in Civilian Courts

U.S. District Court Judge Thomas Russell has ruled that the terror suspect caught in Bowling Green can be tried in civilian courts.  You might remember the hoopla over the the Iraqi who was arrested on charges related to terrorism.  Many officials in the state pretty much threw up their hands and said we need to get this guy out of Kentucky rather than let him be tried in civilian courts, but Judge Russell disagrees and says that the rules of the Geneva Convention don't apply to all of the suspects charges.
