Rand Paul Requests Government Spending?

Check out Page One Kentucky's post on Rand Paul's letter requesting funds for an airport in Pikeville. Now don't get me wrong... this is a good thing that Paul should request these funds and I support spending to create jobs (since I'm sure you were curious on my stance), but the fact that it comes from a guy who demonizes government spending at every turn and casually throws around words like 'socialism' and 'big government' when the slightest amount of money is given by the federal government, it certainly seems hypocritical.
